In a groundbreaking demonstration of electric aviation capabilities, H55, a Swiss-based pioneer in electric flight technology, successfully completed a series of high-density altitude test flights in Colorado. This event, part of H55’s “Across America” tour, showcased the performance of the Bristell B23 Energic, the world’s first certified all-electric training aircraft, under challenging environmental conditions.
Testing the Limits of Electric Propulsion
The demonstration flights took place at Centennial Airport, situated at an elevation of 5,800 feet, where temperatures soared to 36°C (96.8°F). These conditions created a takeoff density altitude of approximately 9,500 feet, a scenario that typically challenges conventional aircraft performance.
