CFM International Debuts First Optimizely SaaS CMS Site in EMEA with Candyspace

CFM International, one of the world’s largest commercial aircraft engine manufacturers, has launched a redesigned corporate website built on Optimizely’s SaaS-based Content Management System (CMS). Developed in partnership with digital product agency Candyspace, the new cfmaeroengines.com site marks the first commercial implementation of Optimizely’s SaaS CMS in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.

The launch positions CFM at the forefront of digital transformation in aerospace manufacturing, showcasing a scalable, headless architecture designed to support future growth and enhance user experience across devices.

Headless Architecture and Marketer-Friendly Tools

Optimizely’s SaaS CMS separates back-end content management from front-end presentation, enabling developers to build seamless, high-performance digital experiences. The platform’s integration with Vercel for front-end hosting delivers lightning-fast performance and front-end flexibility.

Unlike many headless CMS solutions, Optimizely’s offering includes a robust content editor experience tailored for marketing teams. Features such as Visual Builder and live preview allow non-technical users to create and publish content independently, accelerating speed-to-market and reducing reliance on developer resources.

Enhanced User Experience and Scalable Infrastructure

The new CFM website supports over 250,000 annual visitors with responsive design, real-time updates, and intuitive features including event booking and integrated news. Optimizely Graph ensures fast omnichannel content delivery, while automatic scaling and security upgrades reduce maintenance overhead for developers.

Tom Thorne, CEO of Candyspace, described the launch as a milestone for digital innovation in aerospace: “We’re proud to help CFM International achieve a platform built for speed, performance, and agility”.

Strategic Collaboration and Industry Impact

Candyspace, an Optimizely Gold Partner, led the strategic and technical implementation, leveraging its expertise in headless and microservice technologies. The collaboration reflects a broader industry shift toward composable digital platforms that support personalized, data-driven storytelling and operational agility.

Nazanin Ramezani, VP of Product for CMS at Optimizely, noted, “It’s exciting to see CFM and Candyspace lead the way in Europe with a site that shows what modern digital experiences should look like”.
