H.B. Fuller Establishes Aerospace Manufacturing Center of Excellence
H.B. Fuller has announced plans to open a new Aerospace Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Charlotte, North Carolina, a facility designed to strengthen the company’s role as a materials partner across aviation, space, and defense programs. The investment reflects the company’s long term strategy to expand its presence in high reliability markets that require rigorous quality systems and sustained production continuity.

Facility Designed for Aerospace Grade Production
The new site will consolidate specialized manufacturing, packaging, testing, and quality operations into a single controlled environment engineered to meet stringent aerospace requirements. The facility is expected to open in early 2027 and will support long qualification cycles, strict change management processes, and fully traceable production workflows that are essential for commercial and defense aerospace customers.
According to the company, the center will feature purpose built manufacturing systems, advanced mixing and packaging equipment, and dedicated laboratories for product development, validation, and release testing. These capabilities are intended to help customers qualify new platforms with confidence and maintain consistent supply across extended program lifecycles.
Commitment to Quality and Certification Standards
H.B. Fuller expects the new operation to join its global network of aerospace accredited facilities and plans to pursue AS9100 certification, the widely recognized quality management benchmark for aviation and defense. The company also intends to seek Nadcap accreditation to reinforce its commitment to process discipline and long term reliability.
Leadership emphasized that the aerospace sector demands precision, consistency, and sustained technical support. The new center is positioned to meet these expectations by aligning infrastructure, expertise, and quality systems in a single integrated location.
Strategic Expansion Within High Value Markets
The investment is part of H.B. Fuller’s broader initiative to optimize its global footprint and focus on high value segments of its portfolio. By expanding capacity and consolidating specialized operations, the company aims to support growing demand for adhesives, sealants, and functional coatings used in aircraft assembly, space systems, and defense platforms.
For aerospace manufacturers and suppliers, the new center represents an additional source of qualified materials backed by long term production stability and a commitment to meeting the industry’s most rigorous standards.
