Keysight Pushes mmWave Boundaries with New Frequency Extenders and Calibration Kit

Keysight Technologies has unveiled two new millimeter-wave frequency extender modules, the NA5305A (up to 170 GHz) and NA5307A (up to 250 GHz), alongside the 85065A Precision Calibration Kit (0.5 mm), expanding the reach of its PNA and PNA-X Vector Network Analyzers. When paired with the N5292A Test Set Controller, these additions enable fully calibrated, single-sweep S-parameter measurements from 100 kHz to 250 GHz, offering aerospace engineers a streamlined path to sub-terahertz characterization.

For existing users of Keysight’s 110 GHz and 120 GHz VNAs, the upgrade path is refreshingly straightforward, preserving prior investments while unlocking new capabilities in high-frequency validation.

The new accessories are designed to simplify test setups and reduce design verification cycles for a wide range of components, including optical RF drivers, transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), PCBs, cables, and passive devices.
