Polymatech Electronics Opens Advanced PCB Facility in Estonia, Targeting Aerospace and Defense Markets

Polymatech Electronics Limited has officially commissioned its state-of-the-art printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing facility in Estonia, marking a strategic expansion into the European market. The facility, which began operations on August 8, 2025, is designed to produce up to 50,000 square meters of high-density interconnect (HDI) PCBs annually, with capabilities extending to multi-layer configurations of up to 48 layers.

For aerospace and defense stakeholders, this development signals a new source of high-performance PCB solutions engineered to meet the stringent demands of mission-critical systems. Polymatech’s pivot from component supplier to product-centric solutions provider reflects a broader industry trend toward vertically integrated manufacturing and rapid innovation cycles.

European-Made PCBs for High-End Applications

The 10,000-square-foot cleanroom facility is equipped with advanced European machinery and process controls, enabling the production of high-speed, high-frequency, and rigid-flex PCBs. These components are essential in aerospace avionics, satellite systems, and defense-grade electronics, where signal integrity, thermal management, and reliability are paramount.

Polymatech Electronics Limited Announces Completion of PCB Manufacturing Facility in Europe

“Our European-made PCBs, crafted with European expertise and adhering to the highest quality standards, are in high demand across various high-end applications,” said Eswara Rao Nandam, CEO of Polymatech Electronics Limited. “This facility underscores our commitment to innovation, quality, and precision, positioning us to deliver tailored, engineered solutions to some of the most demanding industries”.

Strategic Shift Toward Product-Centric Innovation

Polymatech’s leadership team views the Estonia facility as a turning point in the company’s evolution. Tarja Rapala, Director and Head of PCB Business, emphasized the company’s transformation: “This facility exemplifies our dedication to quality, reliability, and customer-centric innovation. With meticulously maintained equipment and a highly skilled team, we are poised to deliver rapid, sustainable PCB solutions and foster strategic partnerships across Europe”.

Dr. Allen Nejah, Chief Innovation Officer, added that the facility represents a paradigm shift in Polymatech’s business profile. “PCB is the mother for electronic equipment, and this facility enables our transformation from component manufacturer to product manufacturer. It will help us release products faster to market and support Europe’s technological and defense sectors”.

Aerospace Implications and Market Relevance

The aerospace industry’s increasing reliance on advanced electronics for flight control, communications, and autonomous systems makes Polymatech’s entry into the European PCB market especially timely. The company’s ability to deliver substrate-like PCBs, integrated circuit substrates, and RF modules within 24 hours positions it as a responsive partner for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

As aerospace programs demand greater functionality in smaller form factors, Polymatech’s use of laser microvias, sequential lamination, and high-performance thin materials enables higher circuit density and improved performance per unit area. These capabilities are crucial for next-generation aircraft, satellites, and defense platforms.

With a €100 million investment backing the Estonia facility, Polymatech is poised to become a key player in Europe’s high-end electronics supply chain. For aerospace engineers, procurement teams, and systems integrators, the company’s expansion offers a new source of precision-engineered PCBs built to meet the evolving demands of flight and defense.
