Synera Appoints Ubaldo Rodriguez as Chief Revenue Officer to Accelerate U.S. Expansion
Synera has appointed technology veteran Ubaldo Rodriguez as its first Chief Revenue Officer, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion into the United States. The engineering focused AI platform has rapidly grown its U.S. presence following the opening of its Boston headquarters and is now positioning itself to scale adoption across aerospace, automotive, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
Leadership With Deep Experience in Engineering Software and Aerospace Markets

Rodriguez brings more than twenty five years of experience in engineering software, including senior roles at PTC, Agile Software, Ansys, and Altair. His background includes extensive work with U.S. aerospace and electric vehicle manufacturers, two priority markets for Synera as it expands its agentic AI platform.
During his tenure at Ansys, Rodriguez helped grow North American revenue from eight million dollars to more than five hundred million dollars. At Altair, he led a major transformation of the company’s global sales organization. His experience commercializing advanced engineering technologies aligns with Synera’s goal of accelerating AI adoption across complex product development environments.
Supporting Rapid Growth in the U.S. Market
Synera has seen strong early traction in the United States, with its sales team growing by five hundred percent since the beginning of 2026. The company’s customer base already includes organizations such as NASA, BMW, Volvo, Hyundai Motor, Miele, and Stihl. The appointment follows Synera’s forty million dollar Series B funding round announced in April 2026.
Leadership emphasized that the U.S. market is central to the company’s next phase of growth, particularly as engineering teams seek to reduce development cycles and integrate AI driven automation without disrupting established CAx and PLM workflows.
Advancing Agentic AI for Engineering Workflows
Synera positions its platform as an orchestration layer that integrates with more than eighty CAx and PLM tools, enabling AI agents to automate complex engineering tasks. The company argues that traditional engineering environments have lagged in AI adoption due to siloed tools and highly specialized workflows. By embedding AI directly into existing toolchains, Synera aims to reduce development timelines from weeks to minutes.
Rodriguez noted that his focus will be on building a scalable go to market strategy that supports broader deployment of agentic AI across engineering organizations. He highlighted the importance of IP security and minimal workflow disruption, two factors that are especially important for aerospace and defense customers.
Expanding Global Footprint to Support Engineering Innovation
Synera plans to continue expanding internationally, including strengthening its presence in France and exploring opportunities in the Asia Pacific region. U.S. expansion will be led by Rodriguez in partnership with the company’s North America sales leadership.
For aerospace and defense readers, the appointment underscores the growing role of AI enabled engineering platforms in accelerating design cycles, reducing material usage, and improving development efficiency across advanced manufacturing programs.
