Transcat Names Jaime Irick President and Chief Executive Officer

Transcat has appointed Jaime Irick as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 29, 2026. He will also join the company’s Board of Directors and serve on its Executive Committee. The announcement follows the planned retirement of CEO Lee Rudow, who will remain with the company as a senior advisor through March 2027.

The Board highlighted Irick’s record of leading large industrial and technology organizations through periods of transformation, integration and sustained growth. His background includes significant experience managing multi‑billion‑dollar businesses, executing complex carve‑outs and integrations and driving operational performance, all of which align with Transcat’s long‑term strategy.

A Leader With Deep Operational and Strategic Expertise

Irick most recently served as CEO of Pittsburgh Paints Company, where he led a two billion dollar carve‑out from PPG Industries and oversaw a successful transition to private equity ownership. His earlier roles at PPG included senior leadership of two divisions generating three billion dollars in revenue and employing more than 7,000 people. He also directed the 1.1 billion dollar integration of Ennis‑Flint.

His career spans additional leadership positions at Life Fitness and multiple divisions within General Electric, including GE Lighting Solutions and Current. Irick is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and Harvard Business School, and he previously served as a Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Illinois Tool Works.
