Amca Acquires Electrocube to Strengthen Power Electronics Capabilities
Amca has acquired Electrocube of Pomona, California, adding a long established and highly regarded power electronics supplier to its growing portfolio of aerospace and defense businesses. The acquisition expands Amca’s ability to design, qualify, and manufacture flight critical components that support reliability and supply chain resilience across commercial and defense aviation programs.
Acquisition Adds Deep Expertise in Flight Critical Power Electronics
Electrocube has been a trusted Boeing supplier for decades, providing transformers for more than 35 applications across nearly every commercial platform. Among Boeing’s more than 5,000 direct suppliers, Electrocube consistently ranks in the top tier for quality, on time delivery, and responsiveness. The company also supports major aerospace customers including Honeywell and GE with transformers, transformer rectifier units, capacitors, and EMI filters.
Amca plans to invest significantly in Electrocube during its first year of ownership, expanding engineering resources and broadening the product catalog to accelerate development cycles for next generation aerospace systems.
Legacy Supplier Provides Strong Foundation for Amca’s Power Electronics Division
Electrocube was founded in 1961 by World War II veterans Lang Parrill, Roland Duquette, and Charles Wieland. Over the decades, the company built a reputation for precision manufacturing and customer focused service. Leadership later transitioned to Clay Parrill and Don Duquette, who grew the business more than eleven fold and established it as one of Boeing’s highest performing suppliers.
Amca’s acquisition strategy centers on strengthening the aerospace and defense industrial base by reducing single points of failure and enabling rapid production of critical components. Electrocube’s long standing customer relationships and proven performance provide a strong platform for Amca’s expansion into power electronics.
Leadership Highlights Shared Commitment to Industry Advancement
Clay Parrill, president and CEO of Electrocube, noted that Amca’s mission aligned approach and energy for modernizing the supply base were key factors in the decision to join the company. He emphasized the potential for the combined team to accelerate innovation and support the evolving needs of aerospace customers.
Combined Team Positioned to Support New Program Requirements
Amca and Electrocube will continue to serve existing customers while welcoming new program inquiries. The combined organization aims to deliver rapid response engineering and production support for power electronics used in advanced aircraft, high volume manufacturing environments, and mission critical defense systems.
