StandardAero Appoints Gregory Krekeler to Lead Component Repair Services Division
StandardAero has announced the appointment of Gregory Krekeler as President of its Component Repair Services (CRS) business, succeeding Kimberly Ashmun, who will remain with the company through year-end to support the leadership transition. Krekeler will report to Chief Operating Officer Kim Ernzen and be based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Deep Aerospace Experience to Guide CRS Strategy
Krekeler brings more than two decades of aerospace and defense experience to the role. He most recently served as Vice President and General Manager of StandardAero’s Maryville, Tennessee facility. Prior to joining StandardAero three years ago, he held senior engineering, supply chain, and procurement roles at Boeing in both the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as earlier leadership positions at McDonnell Douglas. His academic background includes master’s degrees in business administration and aerospace engineering, along with a bachelor’s in aerospace engineering.
“Greg is well positioned to lead our Component Repair Services business into the future,” said COO Kim Ernzen. “He has a strong track record of operational excellence and customer focus, combined with deep experience in the industry and with StandardAero. Working closely with our Engine Services divisions and the CRS team, Greg will drive our strategy to accelerate the growth of CRS.”
CRS Division Positioned for Growth Across Aerospace Segments
StandardAero’s CRS division plays a critical role in supporting fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft across commercial, military, and business aviation markets. The company continues to invest in scalable, value-added aftermarket solutions including engine component repair, on-wing support, and engineering services.
The leadership transition reflects StandardAero’s broader commitment to continuity and strategic growth in the aerospace aftermarket. As demand for reliable MRO partners continues to rise, the company’s focus on operational agility and customer responsiveness remains central to its long-term vision.
